Welcome back!
I hope everyone had a nice and relaxing winter break. I know that I was able to catch up on a lot of work, and have also started some new project (which have most likely added onto my workload, ah!).
It seems that the students were able to take their minds of school, and have returned ready to learn. All of the students who have me for ELA or Math (or both!) participated in the winter session of STAR Testing. We hope to see some growth from the beginning of the school year to now.
I just wanted to remind families that the end of the semester will be on January 23, 2015. This will be the last day for students to turn in ANY missing work from the 2nd Marking Period. They should also be sure that they are keeping up with their Accelerated Reading points. These will be part of the students' final grades in their English courses.
The final week of the semester, Jan. 19-23rd will be set up a little bit differently. Monday and Tuesday (19th and 20th) will be normal school days. However, Wed., Thurs., and Friday will be half day schedules. This will set students up for final exams in all of their courses. Be sure to study!!
Please let me know if you have any questions about what assignments your student may have missing, or if you would like more information about the final exam schedule.
